While Breast Cancer Awareness month may have marched off the calendar, the march toward a cure goes on. With that in mind, the folks at Fairmont Scottsdale's Willow Stream spa have kicked off a year-long program that benefits the Phoenix Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure as well as spa enthusiasts rallying around the cause.
The spa's Power of Pink program launched in October with the unveiling of a pink spa treatment room with walls painted the official Komen for the Cure color. The treatment table is draped with a treasured quilt made by breast cancer patients, and a pink ribbon plaque with inspirational messages hangs on the wall.
Through October 1, 2010, when Willow Stream guests book one of the Power of Pink treatments, 5% of the proceeds will benefit the charity. The program includes:
Pink spa robes and Willow Stream branded pink baseball caps with rhinestones will also be available for purchase year-round in the spa boutique.
Power of Pink spa and salon services include a full day's access to the Willow Stream's 44,000 square feet of luxury facilities including fitness classes, work-out equipment, sauna, steam, inhalation room, cold plunge, Swiss shower, therapy waterfalls and the scenic rooftop pool.
