Cool Your Heels Patio Party

Enjoy some hang time with the girls with this summer-time soiree.

Sweltering summer days were made for kicking back, sipping ice cold cocktails (or mocktails) and dangling your toes in something cool and tingly. Do double duty with this laid-back SpaGirl gathering and get your tootsies flip-flop ready while sharing some QT with the girls.

Invites

Remember the days of pretty paper invitations rather than the impersonal email? If you're feeling crafty, make summer-inspired invitations from those disposable pedi flops you've collected. Just rinse them off, use a colorful Sharpie pen to write the party details across the sole and then tie the toe with a raffia ribbon (okay, an email will work too!). Remind your guests to wear flip-flops or slip-ons to show off their pretty post-party toes.

Treatments

• Pedicure supplies: Non-acetone nail polish remover, cotton balls, nail files, orange sticks, clear primer and top coat polishes and a collection of three or so pretty summer-colored nail lacquers.

Okay, party girl, you're on! If it's not too hot outside, arrange lawn chairs in a circle in your backyard, patio or at your neighborhood park or pool. Place a hand towel and foot bowl at each chair. Have lime wedges, fresh mint, tequila, a shot glass and pedi supplies ready. Once your guests settle into their chairs, have them wipe their feet with disposable cleansing cloths and then tear a small handful of mint leaves and squirt a few limes wedges into their bowls. Pour warm water into each bowl. Have them each drop in a shot of tequila in the water and soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Follow with having them polish and primp their toes into shape and finish with a refreshing spritz of Stinky Feet Spray on lower legs. Sprinkle in chitchat accordingly.
