Microcurrent Facial Sculpting. Sounds a little scary, huh? As a mere intern new to the spa world I was slightly nervous about what I was getting myself into.
Deseret Aesthetic sits within a quiet medical plaza and looks and feels like a cozy day spa. Upon my arrival I was greeted warmly by Molly Nelson, an aesthetician who has been with Deseret since it’s opening. I followed Molly back to one of the treatment rooms, slipped into a terry cover-up, wrapped up in a warm blanket, and relaxed while listening to soothing background music.
Molly promised me that Microcurrent would not hurt at all and she was right. Microcurrent uses two smooth metal prongs that emit small electrical frequencies and feel like a gentle massage for your face. These prongs were run over my face three times on three different settings, low medium, and high. After each level I could feel my skin become tighter and energized.
My treatment was ended with an exfoliating, mask (which smelled amazing) and a soothing foot rub. By the end of my treatment I felt completely relaxed and refreshed. My face was visibly smooth, toned, and literally glowing.
