In dire need of a manicure, I decided to deviate from my usual nail salon to go to Spatini Skin and Nail Spa in Scottsdale. I’ve heard great things about Spatini so I decided it was time to check it out for myself.
On the day of my appointment work could not go by fast enough. I love the job of being a Spa Girl, but staring down at the poor state of my cuticles and chipped nail polish made for a very stressful day. (Spa Girl problems.)
Upon arrival, the owner, Jeanine, greeted me with a smile. I was delighted to see that she had an enormous selection of nail polish ranging from Essie, OPI and Gelish. I’m a gel mani junkie and like to challenge myself to stray from the safety of pinks and reds. After several hours on Pinterest (because where else would I find inspiration?), I decided on a sailor-inspired manicure (see it here). Not only was this manicure adorable but also I knew it would provide Jeanine with at challenge, which she loves by the way. When I showed her a picture of the maritime manicure, she beamed with excitement. We were both up for the challenge!
Getting to work on my embarrassingly dry cuticles, she trimmed, filed and buffed my nails and hands to prepare them for the application of Gelish polish. Fun fact: Jeanine is a national educator for Gelish. She travels the country training baby nail artists on the in’s and out’s of working with Gelish polish. Basically, the girl knows her stuff! After a very methodical application of blue and white strips and two very cute red hearts, my manicure was complete!
I was over the moon excited with the results of my manicure from Spatini Skin and Nail Spa! Her calming and sweet demeanor was very inviting. The chic yet comfortable vibe inside of the salon made me feel like I was at home. There wasn’t one moment where I felt uncomfortable or uninvited. I left smiling and will definitely visit her again.
Spatini does more than just fabulous manicures and pedicures. They also have skin, hair and waxing services and sell a range of products like PCA Skincare and OPI.
Here’s a pic of how it turned out. Love it!
